If anxiety becomes an excessive, irrational dread of everyday situations and you do not do something about it, it not only becomes a burden you have to struggle with every day, but can also make you physically ill and depressed.

Approaches to alleviating stress and anxiety

I have helped many people to reduce stress and anxiety using hypnotherapy and Neuro-linguistic programming to understand the underlying cause.

  • What is triggering an anxiety attack?
  • Why is that trigger causing this reaction?
  • What patterns of thinking cause or exacerbate the symptoms?
  • How are you experiencing it?

The way our minds work is that the physical reaction – in this case anxiety – happens when old memories, emotions and feelings come to the surface.  You may have no conscious knowledge of what it is.  Hypnotherapy may help you to process these memories, allowing you to understand and release the emotions attached to them.  Neuro-linguistic programming may help you to access calm resourceful feelings whenever you need them.  This means that you can learn to choose your emotional state and enjoy feelings of control!
